Meta / Facebook Facebook Messenger has introduced a new function called “Split Payments”. As the name implies, the new functionality makes it easy to split bills between friends and family. It could be things like going to a restaurant or renting an apartment.

To split a bill, simply click the “Let’s Go” button in the group chat or in the Payments Hub in Messenger. Then, divide the bills equally among the group or change the contribution amount for each person. You will type in the appropriate message, confirm your Facebook Pay data and it will be sent to the request team for everyone in the chat.

Meta will begin testing the new feature in the US next week. It is not yet known when you can share your bills in Germany via Facebook Messenger. In addition to the introduction of the invoice separation process, Facebook Messenger also has four new AR-based group effects. These were created in collaboration with King Bach, Emma Chamberlain, Bella Porsche and Zack King.

There is a new chat theme and two new sound mojis. One was recently released for Stranger Things fans, and the other was released in celebration of Taylor Swift’s new album Red.
