The “old” Edge browser is retiring: Microsoft will rely on Edge Chromium in the future.
BAlready in August 2020, Microsoft announced that it would end support for its outdated browser Edge (the traditional version, i.e. without the Chromium engine) on March 9, 2021. Today the browser has reached its “end of life” and will not receive security updates! In principle, the program can be used for now, but it is better to switch to an alternative that regularly receives regular updates. Otherwise, unconnected vulnerabilities could easily fall prey to hackers and malware.
