Electronic Arts announces remake of Dead Space

Electronic Arts and Motives has announced that the science fiction survival horror classic Dead Space will be created anew for the next gen consoles and PC remake.

Thanks to the Frostbite engine, the horror and immersion is elevated to a new level for the owner in the new version, with breathtaking graphics, sound and controls. Fans will enjoy advanced storylines, characters, game dynamics and more as the ship struggles to escape from a dream aboard the abandoned disposal spacecraft USG Ishimura, and unravel the terrible mystery of the ship and the ship’s fate.

The Dead Space franchise had a huge impact on the survival horror genre when it was launched 12 years ago, and I came to Moti as a fan to work specifically on this game. We have an emotional team at Moti who consider this remake a declaration of love for the series. The original return and the possibility of implementing it in the next gen consoles impressed everyone on the team. As the game modernized, we contacted passionate fans from the beginning and invited them to comment on us so that they could deliver exactly the Dead Space game they wanted, and new players would love it.

Philip Ducharm, Senior Producer Van Dead Space

In Dead Space, Isaac Clark, a great engineer, is on a mission to repair the huge and vast USG Ishimura spacecraft, only to discover that something terribly wrong has happened. The crew of the ship is murdered and victimized by something strange – Isaac’s beloved companion Nicole is somewhere on the ship. Now, alone, armed only with his tools and technical skills, Isaac must try to solve the terrible mystery of what happened in Ishimura. Isaac is imprisoned with hostile creatures called “Negromorps” and not only fights the ship’s growing atrocities, but threatens to lose his mind.

PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | Dead Space for S and PC will be released worldwide. More information on the remake is available Official website.
