Twitter is an indescribable treasure for all kinds of video clips: entertainment, educational or specific historical value. But Twitter did not offer the opportunity to download videos directly from Twitter. No problem: all videos can be instantly loaded on your Windows or Linux PC or your Mac.
Step 1: Right click on the video
Right click on the video you like in a tweet. Then click the left mouse button on “Copy Video Address” that appears.

Step 2: Insert the video address
Open the webpage

In the browser. Copy the video address stored in the clipboard to the field labeled “Enter Video Link”. Then click Download.

Step 3: Choose the resolution
A page opens with information about the video. Select the desired resolution / video size by clicking the “Download” button behind it. All videos will be saved as MP4.
Step 4: Download the video
Opens a new page where selected video is played. Right-click on it and select “Save Video As …” from the mouse context menu. Then save the video to your computer with the name of your choice. Done.

Now you can start the video from your hard drive. You can watch this completely offline.
You can also download GIFs from tweets this way. With longer videos, you can start multiple downloads one after the other and individual videos are downloaded in parallel. All videos land on your computer’s hard drive reliably. It works regardless of your computer’s operating system.
