Windows 11 will officially appear on October 5th, but this evening Microsoft released the Windows 11 ISO file, Windows 11 Media Creator Tool and Installation Assistant. Anyone who wants to download and install the final Windows 11 framework (22000.194) with immediate effect can use it. But beware.
As an update, by ISO or tool
Windows 11 is now available in four different ways. One of them is Windows Update, so only a few systems need to get the update displayed in the manual update search. Microsoft offers three other options:
- Installation via ISO file
- Installation using Windows 11 Installation Assistant
- Installation via Windows 11 Media Creator (also creates a bootable USB stick)
This generates 22000.194, which is the status of the last internal preview in the output preview channel.
It is dangerous to go there too soon
Considering the possible issues with Windows 10 major version updates and the transition from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, users should think twice about running their own system update as soon as possible.
With the Windows Update, Microsoft will be redistributing Windows 11 again in the coming months for a reason. First, the system of complete systems already tested internally, above all well-known notebooks. Despite internal tests and the general Windows Insider program, Windows 11 million PCs are likely to cause unknown issues with the application, which are not always isolated.
Additional knowledge about Windows 11
The authors have released detailed reports and tests on Windows 11 over the past few weeks. They provide a wealth of background knowledge on Windows 11, including DPM and CPU compatibility lists, as well as computer requirements, virtualization-based security, and their interaction with technologies such as new system performance.
