Do not buy shell broadband

So, I took our Shell Broadband from the Carbon warehouse 1 year ago. Every month I was exhausted because my sky bill was uncontrollably high! The guy recommended the shell as it was in my area and cheap at 99 17.99 per month, which is amazing at the price I thought !!. Cheap price means cheap service !! IIt takes 3 days to download a game! Always caches on Netflix and stops taking pictures.

This is no doubt a very bad use

This is without a doubt the worst utility company for me. Can’t wait to hit both Gas / Elect and Broadband. Never again. Zero level of customer service and massive price increase on broadband. Be clear.

This is so bad, I can’t even rate it

This is so bad, I can’t even rate it! Stay away from them! They rip the BPL!

Poor

Well, all the utility companies seem terrible – it’s very difficult to provide good customer service in this field – I tried many things, the last first use was so bad, when Shell Energy captured them, ‘good – a big company, they should be better’ – but no , The worst
I regularly enter my electricity meter readings online and they are always completely ignored – they want to charge you with wide estimates and then threaten you if you do not pay them immediately. I was informed that their software could not handle my electricity meter readings, so I had to email them – and I still get the estimated bills.
I paid the last rated one [£415] Credit card online and ‘not received’, so I did it again, the same thing happened, so I was lucky enough to give – only to find both payments [£830] Saying that their systems do not really passed. I have been told that I can get one [£415] Refunded in 10 days, after Christmas – I need it now.

These companies have regulators who have to ensure that they provide a good service, but none of them do – so whatever these regulators do, they have strong powers to fine and prosecute these companies. [they obviously just don’t care] – For many, gas and electricity are one of their biggest monthly bills, and they deserve the best service.

I recently switched to Shell Energy

I recently switched to Shell Energy and since then I have to congratulate them on being completely incompetent on every front.

People are all very friendly and try their best, but it’s been five long months (since becoming a customer in August 2020) and it has been one after another.

They sent me the wrong bill based on belief (“guessed” readings). Then, to deal with this, I had to engage in a protracted and painful game of phone tagging with them, i.e. trying to spend 5-6 hours over several weeks. No one has answers, no one can do anything, everyone “should come back to me”, but so far no one has done (so I have to chase them, waiting for more time).

I can give you the full version of the story, but imagine a modern day Shakespeare parody, still inefficient and unbelievable.

After extensive efforts on my part to understand their incompetence, I finally got a proper bill (still heavily biased in favor of them in terms of “guessed” readings), and finally came today. This is the secondary point, do not ask them to post anything, it is a very complicated task to solve.

To finish off the joke, I went to pay and tried only four times to get the automatic payment system to work. Each time I entered a number from my zip code, it would say “just search” (approximately) and then confuse and crash. In the end, I have no choice but to sign in and pay online, just remember my website password instead of simply paying my fees.

In the end, my guess is that if you have a “straight” case or you don’t always want to or need to talk to anyone (everything can be done online), you will say they are better or better (subtracting it from some of the five star ratings). However, if you need autonomous and helpful people who can solve things easily and quickly, you do not want to waste time chasing them and catching terrible automatic phone connections, please go somewhere else. Unfortunately, I’ve been stuck with these incompetent clowns for a while (or have to pay for the pleasure of getting out from the beginning), but if you think switching to them is a good idea, don’t. I suggest that chewing broken glass can be a very interesting experience.

The single worst customer experience of my life, it was an achievement, so congratulations to Shell Energy, I tend my hat to you.

Their customer service is pathetic

Their customer service is pathetic. They are so arrogant and rejecting because you know them in a deal.
