Digital Foundry shows the first game footage on the PS5

Digital Foundry today released the first toy from “Crysis 2 Remastered”. The game footage shown was recorded on the PS5 and shows how Crytech’s first person sniper performs on the Sony console.

Resolution, performance and improvements were made

The game has a resolution of 1440p and a frame rate of 60 frames per second. Performance, reliability and radiation detection options were eliminated. Instead, the development team focused on finding a healthy balance between resolution and performance. By the way, owners of an Xbox Series X can expect greater clarity.

“Crysis 2 Remastered” features DirectX11 enhancements, restoration effects and a nice color scheme, among other things. With the help of 3D scans, the resolution of the systems can be significantly increased. Lighting is very realistic thanks to global real-time lighting systems. You should note: This is the PS4 version, which is played using the backward compatibility of the PS5. The actual next generation version is not planned.
