Digital black silver sales are up almost 50% from 2019

The number of games downloaded on Black Friday increased by almost 50% over the same period in 2019, according to the latest GST data.

This is in stark contrast to the 20% drop in physical sports sales during Black Friday week. Overall, 1.85 million games were sold during the popular (box and digital integrated) sales period, down 1.5% from the same period last year.

While Black Friday certainly had an impact on the increase in game sales, the big winner was actually Football Manager 2021, which ended the week as the best-selling digital game. The Sega and Sports Interactive headline was released last week, and integrated body / digital sales are up 2.5% over the previous game launch in the series.

Otherwise, the chart is a regular one. Call of Duty: The Black Ops Cold War fell to 2nd place after a 58% drop in sales for the week, while FIFA 21 is in 3rd place with a 32.4% increase in sales, while GDA5 is back in 4th place after a 65% weekly increase to 5th. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is dropping to 5th place with a 44.6% drop in sales, but this is a good week for Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is at 7th place after 186% sales, and Assassin’s Creed Origins is at No. 16 following a 193% increase in weekly sales.

Other big winners in the digital rankings this week were Rainbow Six Siege 9 (sales 132.5%), Star Wars Scrattrans 11th (up 91%), Red Dead Redemption 2 at number 12 (up 135%), Borderlands 3rd (169%). Up), at Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fuel No. 14 (up to 107%), and the Spiro Reginite Trio at 15th (up to 183%).
