Want to play Call of Duty Vanguard, but the campaign is not available? You can do that in that case.
One of the issues that may arise with the new owners of Activisions and Sleekhammer Games’ Call of Duty Vanguard Blocked campaign.
In the main menu, you can choose between different modes (and even different Call of Duty games), Campaign Call of Duty Vanguard Inaccessible – This is indicated by a blocked symbol.
The solution campaign is not yet downloaded – technically it is considered a separate installation file and if you have campaign packs on your hard drive, you can run story mode.

Did the Call of Duty Vanguard campaign not work? You can do it
When you first launch Call of Duty Vanguard, the campaign may be blocked, marked by a lock next to the entry in the menu.
All you have to do is download the campaign episodes to solve this problem. Depending on the operating system, this may be a separate download that can be accessed by pressing the button at the bottom of the screen next to “Start Installation” (on our PlayStation it was a square button).
From there, the campaign packages should be downloaded immediately, and a loading menu will appear under the menu options.
If the campaign packages are not downloaded, you may not have enough space on your console or computer. Clear up some space – on our PS5, the packs are 10.9 GB and 7.1 GB respectively – and then try again.
Alternatively, you can download the packs manually from your computer’s store or game library, as these packages are classified as separate installations and not game downloads.
This means you can play other modes or other games as the campaign packages continue to be downloaded.
After downloading, the menu item “Campaign” will no longer have a lock icon and will be able to fully access the mode.
