“Diablo 2 Resurrected”: A new version of Blizzard Hack’sley is coming out

Blizzard has announced a new version of its hack’slay classic “Diablo 2”. The title for PC, Switch, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S will be released later this year as “Diablo 2 Resurrected”. Progress sites need to be saved.

The remaster of the “Diablo 2” has high resolution and 3D graphics, which can be turned off in favor of the original look if desired. With the release of “Diablo 2 Resurrection” for consoles, the game now supports gameplay controls as well. The console version of Part 3 proved that it could work better with the Diablo game. As for the content, not much should change. In addition to the main game, the remaster also has an extension of “Lord of Destruction”.

The original “Diablo 2” was released in 2000 and is considered one of the best games in the Blizzard portfolio. Hawksley started with a total of five writing classes, which players can choose from. The “Lord of Destruction” extension, released a year later, came with two additional writing classes.

The successor “Diablo 3” was released in 2012 and initially had problems following in the footsteps of Part 2. The release of “Diablo 3” was affected by technical issues and caused annoyance in the auction house community. The blizzard finally decided to remove it. After many updates, “Diablo 3” is now a much better game than it was in the beginning, and continues to satisfy most series fans.

The third part is also controversial for its somewhat comic-like graphic style, which marks a strong departure from the dark “Diablo 2”. Blizzard is currently working on “Diablo 4”, which was released in Blisscon 2019. Here, the blizzard is apparently based on the appearance of “Diablo 2”.

Blizzard has bad experiences with the remaster of “Warcraft 3”: The community accused Blizzard of lovingly inciting the cult strategy game by “warcraft 3 reformed” and removing the promised features. With “Diablo 2 Resurrected” the studio now has the opportunity to make edits.
