David bids farewell Tuesday to a gardener who was struck by electric shock

Concordia

Approval was given yesterday morning for the burial of 44-year-old gardener David Toratioto, who was electrocuted on Friday afternoon, with a chainsaw and medium voltage wires placed near a fir tree. The accident happened while he was chopping wood from the top of a forklift, through Marango, between a chicken farm area and the Linen Bridge. Funeral services will be held at the Cathedral on Tuesday at 3.30pm, while the Rosary Voting will begin at 7.30pm tomorrow. The family asked for all donations to be made to the In Famiglia Association, which carries cancer patients.

The tragedy took place before the eyes of his brother and colleague Federico Toratiotto. Like FedEx, David also had a background in amateur football. He played the role of defender and mainly played with Massolada (a Portugro company that is now extinct), Syndagel and above all Vicor Cindy. He ended his career at the Piancosurra Club, based in Cinto Comaguire, and, amusingly, was nicknamed “Grandpa” by his teammates. “He has established himself on the pitch, he’s a handsome man,” recalls his former teammate Stefano de Toe: “It was impossible to get along with David: they all loved him.” On social media, Wicker’s farewell messages and the pride of local football and Concordian striker Andrea Rosen were noticed. –
