Mutualité Française Occitanie and the MPS Expertises Sociales Association co-hosted the Hautes-Pyrénées Fundraisers’ Conference on the Prevention of Autonomy: “Connected Seniors: My Beginnings!” Organize two cycles of 10 workshops on the theme. These computer workshops focus on manipulating digital tablets and personalizing their use in relation to health. The Internet and new technologies are a real revolution, and learning to use them safely is a way to simplify administrative procedures and communicate with loved ones.
Workshop Project:
– Introduction and innovation of the tablet, first steps with the tablet (use of tablet applications, touch and familiarity with digital vocabulary)
– Internet connection and browsing (how to do research, navigation …)
– Communicate with the tablet (discover the various communication methods and their applications)
– Use of emails (access and manage your mailbox, send emails, insert links and send: photos, documents, etc.)
– Download and use applications as you wish and with complete security
– Download health applications (health insurance, France link, etc.) and learn how to use them
– Prevent cyber risks and dangers (safe browsing, safe shopping, authentication of a fraudulent email, password protection and messaging)
Workshops will be held at Tourney Town Hall every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., until December 9th. Workshops are free and subject to availability. Must register at 04 99 58 88 90.
