ungoogled-chromium is Google Chromium and has no affiliation with Google Internet Services. It includes some changes to improve privacy, control and transparency (almost all require implementation or manual implementation).
ungoogled-chromium Keeps the default Chromium experience as close as possible. Unlike other Chromium forks, they have their own web browser, and ungoogled-chrome is essentially a direct alternative to Chromium.
Features
- Convert multiple web domains ending in qjz9zk to source code (known as domain conversion; see docs / design.md for details)
- Remove source code binary (also known as binary pruning; see docs / design.md for details)
- Disable specific features for Google Domains (eg Google Host Detector, Google URL Tracker, Google Cloud Messaging, Google Hotwording, etc.)
- This includes disabling Safe Browsing. See Frequently Asked Questions for Rational.
- Add several new command line switches and chrome: // flags input to configure the default disabled features. See docs / flags.md for a complete list.
