BZ-Smart: Brings Update Watchlist and Other New Functions – About Us

What is BZ-Smart?

BZ-Smart is a BZ messaging application. The target group is all people who want to keep themselves updated with the most important news coming from the world and South Baden. You can choose from a dozen excerpts and topics that we want to inform you about through the Bush announcement.

The BZ-Smart is characterized by fast loading times, simple operation and local news from the region. To get more news from your region, select your own city from a list of about 150 cities and towns.

Update

The update of the BZ-Smart at this time includes some new functionality, which simplifies the use and ensures further reading pleasure. Henceforth, among other things, there is a watch list for storing articles, the start page is very clearly structured and you have the option to determine which data the application collects.

Anyone who has already installed BZ-Smart on their device can download the new app with the update. The application runs on iPhone (since iOS 11) and all smartphones with Android operating system (since version 5.0).

Bookmarks

You can no longer list articles you like or want to read later. You can set the article with the bookmark icon in the article view. This is the top bar next to the font size and split function. If you tap it, the bookmark will turn white and the item will be added to the watch list. If you want to delete an article, tap the bookmark again.

Springblock

For a better overview, we have divided the start page of BZ-Smart into thematic modules, which are called fields. Each section is marked with a title and at the end there is a “More” button, which will lead to more articles on this topic. The back arrow in the upper left will take you back to the start page.

Galleries

We have also updated the editing in the new version. If you tap on the gallery marked by the camera icon, a new display will open. The description of the image is now directly below each image. You can use the arrows to switch between photos by tapping right and left. To close the gallery, click on the “X” in the upper right corner.

Bush News

When you open the app for the first time, you can choose which topics we want to update you with a push message. To do this, tick the desired topic. Make sure you allow “Notifications” (Android) or “Notifications” (iOS) in the device settings. Otherwise, you will not receive any push notifications from BZ-Smart.

In the settings (menu on the top right) you can change the grouped push titles at any time. The link in the menu will take you directly to your device settings, where you can enable “Notifications” (Android) or “Messages” (iOS) for BZ-Smart. Only then will you receive Bush announcements.

Another new feature of this version is that you can share Bush messages with friends and acquaintances. Use the stock icon in the upper right.

Data collection

We use so-called tracking tools to provide you with the best user experience and to constantly improve our application. Data is collected anonymously only. A transparent overview of what tracking devices are used on the BZ-Smart is now available when you first open the app. You can accept monitoring by related tools by setting the switch to “On”.

Here, too, you can adjust your selection at any time in the settings under “Data Collection” (menu on the top right).
