Today, Electronic Arts announces that all will not change, but the next generation digital version of the game will have the old Zen version Battlefield 2042 Back Cross-General.

- The standard version of Battlefield 2042 is the Xbox Series X | If you have already ordered the S or PS5 digital version, you do not need to do anything. You will own the Xbox One version of the game when it is released.
- If you purchased Battlefield 2042 as an Xbox One version (regardless of version), you will need the Xbox Series X | Can’t upgrade to S. EA states that there are no plans for renewal.
- If you purchased Battlefield 2042 as the PS4 version (regardless of version), you will not be able to upgrade to the PS5. EA states that there are no plans for renewal.
- If you purchased Battlefield 2042 as a physics version (regardless of version), you will not qualify for the Cross-Gen Pack.
- If you buy a cross-gen bundle on one platform (e.g. PlayStation) then you will not be able to benefit on another site (Xbox). Want to buy back the game.
Electronic Arts makes it clear that even if you play 2042 on the battlefield, progress will be saved on different game platforms as long as you use the same EA account to play.
