Alpha Berlin celebrated a significant victory in the Basketball Bundesliga and is the first follower of leaders Ludwigsburg. On Sunday evening, the Berliners won 84:76 (38:46) after a second-half performance increase at Radioform Ulm. The best bowlers from Berlin were the strong Mao Lo with 19 points and Luke Sigma with 13 points.

New signing Christchurch is not yet on the alpha team. This is the fifth game in just ten days for the Berliners. After two games in Russia, the team traveled straight to Ulm. So the German master was very tired at first. When the retired Ulmer hit almost every trash in the first quarter, the Berliners gave up more trash. In addition, they were often one step late. After a 5-2 lead, they went behind.

However, in the second quarter, the hosts’ throw quota was low and the alpha came back to a point (34:35). But the Berliners continued to struggle and rarely saw their rhythm. They allowed the hosts to make multiple restarts under their own basket. So the Ulm team got new rubbish chances again and again, extending the lead until the break.

After the break, Alpha became more focused. They were now on the defensive in particular, not allowing Ulm to throw easily. After a 14-2 draw at the end of the third quarter, they took the lead. Then the Berliners acted very confidently, not letting anything burn. (dpa)
