AVM Releases FRITZ! OS 7.28 for FRITZ! Box 4040 with bug fixes

FRITZ! Box manufacturer AVM has released a maintenance update for FRITZ! For OS 7.28 FRITZ! Box 4040 today. Update to FRITZ! OS 7.28 only includes bug fixes and enhancements to WLAN, USB and System, which can be found below. Among other things, the bug has been fixed, which prevents the network driver connection from being installed with MacOS Big Sur 11.3. Update to FRITZ! OS 7.28 is available for download for international and A / CH versions of German and FRITZ! Box 4040 and now FRITZ! Let’s start with the Box user interface. AVM recommends that all users check FRITZ! Repeaters, Powerline or FRITZ! Box’s Mesh Overview to see if there are any updates for other products like Fon. These updates will be displayed on FRITZ! Update to FRITZ! OS 7.28 has the following new features and improvements:

Phone ->

  • Change: Adaptation required for modified requirements for authentication with Google (Google Phone Book and Calendar).
  • Improvement: Increased performance for cardDAV based online phone books.
  • Improvement: Optimal handling of call diversions for SIP trunks that support call diversion during the call phase.

WLAN ->

  • Improvement: Increased stability.

USB ->

  • Fixed: A Network Driver Connection (SMB) could not be installed with MacOS Big Version 11.3.

Setup ->

  • Improvement: Increased stability.
