Available on iOS 14.4.2, iOS 12.5.2 and WatchOS 7.3.3

Apple now offers the iOS 14.4.2 update (create 18D70) on the iPhone and iPados 14.4.2 on the iPad. This release may come as a surprise, as we know we are definitely looking forward to iOS 14.5. But we will still have to wait for this version.

Apple offers iOS 14.4.2 for everyone

To download iOS 14.4.2, go to Settings> General> Software Update. You can start the download and then the installation. Otherwise, you can download it from our exclusive page. It lists various Apple firmware. In this case, the installation is done from a computer via Finder (on macOS) or iTunes (on Windows).

This update brings important security updates. It is recommended for all users.

Apple mentions separately that the update fixes a flaw in the webkit (Safari’s rendering engine). Manufacturer Indicated :

Enabling maliciously designed web content can lead to a global cross-site script. Apple is aware of a report that could seriously exploit this flaw.

Available for iOS 12.5.2 and WatchOS 7.3.3

Note that Apple offers iOS 12.5.2 for devices that are not eligible for the latest updates. This includes the iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPod Touch 6G, iPod Air, iPod Mini 2 and iPod Mini 3. The previous update, iOS 12.5.1, was released on January 11th.

On the Apple Watch page, Apple Watch offers OS 7.3.3. Again, there are the same security fixes.
