Apple has now released iOS 14.7.1 (create 18G82) for download on iPhone 14 and 14.7.1 on iPhone. The update comes just days after the final release of iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7.
Available for iOS 14.7.1 and iPadOS 14.7.1 for everyone
iOS 14.7 has some bugs, one of which is very annoying for those who have an Apple Watch. The error prevents the Apple Watch from unlocking when the user has an iPhone with Touch ID. The producer promised to fix it. IOS 14.7.1 only comes with this link. Here are Apple’s tips:
iOS 14.7.1 Fixes an issue that prevented iPhone models with Touch ID from unlocking the pair Apple Watch using the “Unlock iPhone” feature. This release also brings important security updates. It is recommended for all users.
Note that Apple has also inserted a safety hole. This is about IOMobileFrameBuffer. “An application can execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges”, Says Apple. The defect is already being used by hackers, according to the manufacturer.
To download iOS 14.7.1, go to Settings> General> Software Update. You can start the download and start the installation immediately. You can download the firmware from our dedicated page and perform a manual installation on your computer (via iTunes) or on your Mac (via Finder).
Now focus on iOS 15
Apple should now focus exclusively on iOS 15. Understand that iOS 14.7.1 is the latest update to iOS 14. We already said that in the iOS 14.7 release, but before Apple made a bug it was with the Apple Watch opening. So hopefully by now, iOS 14.7.1 will be the final version.
As for iOS 15, we’re in the third beta for general developers and testers. The fourth beta should come logically this week.
