Apple warns that there are “great dangers” from the bottom side of iOS ›Macerkopf

Apple has a new one User guide Describes what iOS users’ lives would be like if the company were forced to allow apps to be sidelined on iOS. Sideloading refers to installing applications from a source outside the official utility store, such as a website or third-party utility store. Lateral as a source of danger

Amid discussions about tightly restricting app distribution on iOS devices, Apple has set its case at length today. The accompanying guide describes Apple’s vision of “creating a trusted ecosystem for millions of apps” and the importance of the managed and managed app store as the only way to get new apps on iOS devices.

The report quoted Apple as saying that “devices that use Android are 15 times more likely to be infected with malware than the iPhone.” At the same time normal iPhone users can only download apps from one source: the App Store.

In the report, Apple takes readers on a tour of the dangers of opening up the ecosystem. The steps to be taken by Apple in 2020 to protect users and developers have illustrated that the iPhone is definitely a popular target:

  • An average of 100,000 new apps and updates are reviewed each week by a team of over 500 experts.
  • Nearly a million complex new applications and similar updates have been discarded or removed.
  • Apple froze more than $ 1.5 billion in fraudulent transactions.
  • Apple has banned 470,000 teams from the Apple Developer Program for fraud-related reasons.
  • 205,000 developer login attempts were rejected due to fraud concerns.
  • Apple has frozen 244 million customer accounts due to fraud and misconduct.

Customer uncertainty

According to the 16-page article, Apple’s data protection boss Eric Nuneschwander said Fast companyOpening the iOS ecosystem does not lead to security risks.

When supporters of alternative utility stores talk about more choice for users, Nuneswander says the exact opposite. He explained in an interview that users may be more insecure when downloading apps. In this context, he argued, users could be fooled into lateral applications without realizing it. Ultimately, risks and uncertainties will control users.

Nuneschwander explained the application difference between the iPhone and Mac in alternative download options. According to Nuneswander, users on the Mac only download certain programs that are necessary for their work, not bothering with other applications. In contrast, iPhone users are constantly downloading apps, which Apple manager says is more dangerous than page loading.

Nuneswander finally said that iOS is not a platform for users who want to sideline apps, and suggested that users switch to Android.
