The news came too late as Apple has not released any release specifications for the new beta of MacOS 12.2: the Apple Music app in the new operating system version has been completely redesigned and is now a native app.

The new version of Apple Music now uses native technology from AppKit and MacOS. As 9to5Mac Apple uses JET to turn web content into native apps.

Apple has released the Music app with Magos Catalina 2019. It is an alternative to the iTunes application and works almost the same way on other manufacturers’ sites. Big drawback: It’s actually a kind of web application that displays its content like a browser, so it is very slow. Apple has now reconsidered its strategy and with MacOS Monterey 12.2, a user reported on Twitter that users will face major changes.

The change mainly affects the performance of the search process in the music application. It is so much more now. The new technology is noticeable when scrolling through search results and other page content. According to the 9to5Mac report, scrolling has become significantly smoother.

However, there are some drawbacks. According to the report, the new application is a bit simpler. Maybe it’s because it’s still in beta. Maybe the visual effects come back or Apple may have removed them permanently for performance reasons.

The 9to5Mac report shows that the Universal Control function, which enables the iPhone or iPad to run on the Mac’s trackpad and keyboard without additional hardware, is not yet enabled. This is now expected in the first quarter of 2022.

How satisfied were you with the previous Apple Music app?
