Apple keeps the 12-megapixel wide-angle module from the previous generation iPhone SE. But if the optics have not changed, the contribution of the A15 Bionic offers new photographic capabilities with the presence of an ISP on the chip. So the iPhone SE (2022) will benefit from the Smart HDR, Deep Fusion and the “photo styles” born with the iPhone 13.

    Main volume: 12 MP, f / 1.8, eq. 28 mm

In the intermediate section, it is present Realme 9 Pro + Excellent performer on the photo page. So let’s compare the new iPhone SE.

    Realme 9 Pro + (26mm eq., F / 1.8, ISO 157, 1/50s)
    Apple iPhone SE (2022)

Despite the risky color scale, the Realme model offers a much more detailed display than the iPhone SE. As always, despite the sharpness, Apple prefers a natural tone. The result is no less respect.

The same care at night. Supporting a more natural image, the iPhone SE 2022, unlike the Realme 9 Pro +, does not rise too high in sensitivity. The variation is high, but the image presented by the Chinese model is better expressed and more detailed.

Front module, portrait and video mode

On the front, the iPhone SE also features its predecessor’s 7MP sensor. A module that does not shine, but much better for selfies, especially thanks to the excellent expression management of the device.

Portrait mode is software-only, and the device does not have a depth sensor on high-end iPhones. Clipping is great, but can easily stumble on hair or certain areas of the body. For example, if you have a hand from your chest, the iPhone can easily blur it in the background. The analysis applies to the front volume as well, but for a selfie, this is still enough.

The video part does not become an aota. The iPhone SE can shoot up to 4K at 60 fps or 1080p up to 240 fps. Due to its integrated optical stabilization (OIS), projects are not affected by shaking effects. With the front module, the user can shoot up to 1080p at 120 fps.
