The release of new generation consoles is often the time to dream of games that are bigger, more vibrant and definitely more beautiful than ever before. While resolution and framerate play an important role in the communication of every game today, the resources of our machines are not limitless and new techniques are coming to their aid. Coming soon to Xbox consoles
A few weeks ago, FidelityFX Super Resolution Xbox Series X | We knew it was going to go down in the S. If this is not surprising considering that AMD is equipping Microsoft and Sony consoles, this is good news for the future of this generation.
At Xbox, we are pleased with the capabilities of AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution technology, which is another great way for developers to increase frame rates and resolution. We will get more information soon to share in this matter.
Today, we learn a bonus from Jason Ronald, Xbox Series X | S Development Kits now support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution in the preview version. The other good news is that the man mentions in his message posted on Twitter that Xbox One consoles are also supported. This means that many games will benefit from this incentive in the years to come, even on previous generation consoles.
Be careful though, you have to be patient before you see the arrival of the first games that use AMD’s solution. If it is now available in the Microsoft Development Kit, developers will need to master the beast and wait for everything to be fully functional before it can be used in a major game.
