In a Japanese interview, series creator Kajunori Yamachi spoke in detail about the racing game “Gran Turismo 7” which will be released in early 2022.

As you know, the ambitious title doesn’t just appear on the PlayStation 5. In addition, the PlayStation 4 is being considered with an implementation. Although the “Gran Turismo 7” PS5 comes with limited radio tracking support, SST and various exclusive features like dualSense controller and advanced graphics, the racing game should be fine on the PlayStation 4.

Racing games can be customized accordingly

Yamuchi says that the cross-gen release will not affect the quality of the “Gran Turismo 7” as the racing games and their details can be modified individually. “In a racing game, you can adjust the level of detail. Technically, this is the most measurable game in frame rate maintenance and all. We found that you can build the PS4 version and the PS5 version without sacrificing quality,” Yamucci said.

“That’s why we decided to do both at the same time. Charging time is very different between PS4 and PS5. It’s a completely different experience. It’s something that is inevitable between the two,” he concludes.

If all goes according to plan, “Gran Turismo 7” will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from March 4, 2021.
