Lucian, a charismatic politician who lives behind thick walls, finds an ancient book and secrets containing old weapons in it that can be transformed into sentient soldiers. Somewhat reluctantly, Lucian allies with Revenant Rowana, who is looking for a way back to life to take care of his living son. They both make a deal to overthrow the mad tyrant who controls Welkin.
