EPA Announces Annual Insecticide Maintenance Payment Forms Available for Download from the EPA Website – Payment Deadline January 15, 2021 | Berkson & Campbell, PC

January 15, 2021, is the deadline for paying the annual maintenance fee for pesticide records by the American Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Pay the annual maintenance fee to be subject to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodent Killing Act (FIFRA) Section 4 (i) (1) (a), FIFRA Sections 3 and 24 (c) (Special Local Requirements) registration procedure. The maintenance fee requirement does not apply to sub-registrations of distributors identified by a three-factor element registration number.

This year, the EPA says that due to the COVID-19 epidemic, most EPA employees continue to make telecommunications and are not in EPA offices; Therefore, the EPA will not mail maintenance fee information this year. The fee for 2021 is 000 4,000 per record, up to the maximum fee an registrant can estimate. Every registrar of a pesticide must respond to the EPA by paying the annual fee by Friday, January 15, 2021. Unregistered records will be canceled without order and inquiry. As in previous years, payments must be made online electronically www.pay.gov.

For some eligible small businesses, the first product registration maintenance fee may be reduced by 25 percent if the applicant meets the following criteria:

  1. The applicant has 500 or fewer employees worldwide;
  2. During the three years preceding the most recent maintenance fee billing cycle, the applicant has an average annual gross income from all sources not exceeding 10,000,000 sources; And
  3. The applicant has a total of five or fewer records subject to maintenance fees.
