The Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One gained extensive backward compatibility over the Xbox 360 and Xbox original titles almost a year ago. This library has not received any new development in the last few months, but it has changed abruptly now. Because as Microsoft announced in the big stream during the 20th Xbox Anniversary, more than 70 titles will be added to the backward compatibility portfolio today. This includes Xbox 360 titles that fans have long wanted to feature.

You can see all the related games in the graphic above, here again a small selection: Complete Max PayneSeries, All Games Fear-Line, TimeSplitters 2, TimeSplitters Future Perfect, Skate 2, Dead or Alive Ultimate, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II, Star Wars: Starfighter And Ridge Racer 6 Will certainly be among the well-known topics on the list.

The games will not play again, however, and many of them will get some improvements on Microsoft’s next generation systems. All newer games support Auto-HDR if you have a display that can display HDR effects. Eleven of the more than seventy titles get FPS boost, so run at twice the frame rate compared to the originals. In addition, the new Xbox original titles run at significantly higher resolution on the Xbox Series X, for example, at four times the resolution.
