Which of these new space stations will be placed in orbit around the Earth this week?

Essential
China is set to launch the first batch of its international hub, Tianhe, this Thursday. This is the first of 11 passengers required to build and deliver the spacecraft into orbit: it will last nearly two years.

It will soon come with the International Space Station (ISS), where French astronaut Thomas Pesket is currently located. China is set to unveil the flagship module of its future space station this week: a new step in the country’s space exploration program. Tianhe (translate as “Celestial Harmony”), this first batch will be carried by the Long March 5B rocket, which is scheduled to depart from Wenchang on Thursday, April 29 (subject to favorable weather conditions).

One of the most important aircraft of this year: the first “Tianhe” module of the Great Chinese Space Station arrived aboard the majestic CZ-3B in its missile trajectory.

This is the first of 11 passengers required to build and operate the space station. This new machine can accommodate a total of three people: the central block weighs 20 tons and is 16.6 meters long and 4.2 meters wide. 12 Daikonats are currently being trained to stay for up to 6 months.

The first group of three (Ne Hai Sheng, Deng Qingmin and Ye Kwangbu) will capture the campus next June, during the Shenzhou-12 expedition. This new space station will be fitted with a two meter diameter telescope.

First, the release of this first volume was scheduled to take place in 2018. However, the Long March 5B suffered a severe setback during its second qualifying flight. The release of this space program had to be postponed. The delay forced China to suppress its space station assembly in just two years. Until now the International Space Station has only been in orbit around the Earth.
