To answer our question in full knowledge of the facts, here is a descriptive summary of the five new functions to come.
Pay attention
Let’s start with Focus (concentration, in French). The principle is simple: it allows you to choose which notifications you want to receive according to your activity or time of day.
For example, if the focus is set to “work”, you will only receive alerts from professional applications (slack, mail, trellis). Beforehand, the system allows you to suggest a list of applications. Focus also allows you to display only certain widgets or applications on your home screen (workable). All synced with your other iPods or MacOS devices.
Live text
One of the other great innovations in iOS 15 is live text. Camera and photo apps can find text in an image, extract it, and copy it to share in another application. It is sufficient to run one finger over the text in question. Phone numbers are also recognized: a simple click on it, and the call is initiated.
Facetime opens to the world
For starters, FaceTime is a video conferencing application developed by Apple, especially on iOS. So far, only users of this OS can enjoy it. With “FaceTime Links”, Apple is changing its mind. From an iPhone, for example, you can create a video conference link and then send it to someone using an Android smartphone or Windows system.
It is clear that this functionality opens up access to FaceTime for individuals using another mobile operating system or computer. FaceTime welcomes another fun innovation: it can blur the background of the video window. Finally, you can reduce background noise to give your discussions more calm.
Shared with you on sur iMessage
Shared with you coming to iMessage, Apple simply wants to make your life easier to find your photos sent to friends in a dedicated section. Within what is shared with you, sections created and organized according to each author will allow you to discuss the content shared between you.
3D comes with Apple projects
Apple Maps, Google Maps’ main competitor, continues to welcome new features. With iOS 15, The mapping service gives 3D the pride of place It calls itself at the level of buildings and roads. One way to represent reality more faithfully and for example is to take into account the height of a place. Apple plans to finally adopt a darker mode.
