Valve does not want to offer games through subscription. However, Cape Newell, his boss, said when questioned Gaming PC Valve has the potential to create a “steam bass” or provide Microsoft’s game bass on Steam in the future.
“Creating a subscription service at this time, I do not think we should do it ourselves. But for their customers, this is a popular option and we would be happy to work with them to get it on Steam. ⁇
Obviously, Valve does not want to create this kind of offer, but leaving the door open, Microsoft is also offering its help to deliver its game pass through its platform.

If the possibility of downloading games from Microsoft’s well-stocked list seems imaginary, this dream will come true for Steam users and especially Steam deck owners.
Microsoft will not be the first player to offer such an offer on Steam, a site already offering EA games service since 2020.
