Five years after its release, The switch is still without some particularly requested features and applications. If YouTube finds its way, Twitch is still missing at least until yesterday. The popular streaming platform is now available as an application on the console … somewhat limited. This only allows you to view the content, which cannot be streamed directly from your console. The interface has a “Home” tab with channel and category suggestions, a “Browse” section to search for a stream of a particular game or genre, and a search bar. That’s it.
As for managing your Twitch account, you can’t do it with Switch. More annoyingly, it is not possible to view or communicate with the stream chat. Nintendo offers to scan the QR code to access chat on your smartphone. Despite these limitations, the release of this app is good news that heralds the arrival of other popular streaming services such as Disney + and Netflix. Go whats up, even Wii U had Netflix!
Application Traction It weighs about 25MB and you can download it for free on eShop Nintendo Or directly on your switch.
