Touch Detective: Rina and Funky Case Files Announced for Nintendo Switch

Success Corporation and Beeworks published Touch Detective: Rina and Funky Case Files (Osawari Tantei Ozawa Rina: Rina to Nameko no Jikenbo), a collection of Touch Detective games for the Nintendo Switch. It is scheduled for release in Japan on October 6, 2022.

Touch Detective, Touch Detective 2 ½, and Touch Detective Rising 3: Dreaming of Funky Bananas? will be included. Funghi the Escaper and Funghi the Interviewer will also be available with additional content developed for the smartphone version of Touch Detective. Fans can also view an encyclopedia of over 500 digital documents, including original artwork, sketches, character portraits, and more.

  • Touch Detective (originally released on DS on April 13, 2006)
  • Touch Detective 2 ½ (originally released on May 24, 2007 for DS)
  • Touch Detective Rising 3: Fungus dreams of bananas? (Originally released on 3DS on May 1, 2013)
  • “Funghi the Escaper” (Additional content released for the smartphone version of Touch Detective, which is no longer in service).
  • “Funghi the Interviewer” (additional content released for the smartphone version of Touch Detective, which has been discontinued).
  • “The Touch Detective Encyclopedia” (new content created for this release) – A collection of over 500 digital documents including original artwork, sketches, character portraits and more.

Touch Detective: Rina and Funky Case Files take control of the touchscreen while improving ergonomics. Now all the activities take place on a single screen. In some cases, the graphics will be improved. Touch Detective Rising 3: Fungus dreams of bananas? Available on a platform other than 3DS.

So far, Touch Detective: Rina and the Funghi Case Files has only been announced for Japan. This version is also not expected to be in English.
