Game Info: After Sonic Forces, a lot of fans are curious as to what the Sonic team’s next Sonic main game will look like. Now that it has been officially announced, can you give us more details on what kind of game fans can expect with the new game?
Isuka: Thanks for your patience. Since the release of Sonic Forces, the Sonic team in Japan has tried various approaches to deliver the next Gen Sonic experience. As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sonic’s ownership, we need to think about what path the modern gaming experience should take for the Sonic title, and what path to take over the next decade. There are a lot of things I still can’t talk about, but we work hard on the topic. We look forward to sharing more information on this in the future.
Game Info: Are there any specific things you want to achieve with this new game? What lessons did the team learn from games like Sonic Generations and Sonic Forces that will be implemented for the new title?
Isuka: I still have a lot to say about the topic, but I think we will see a development in what a modern day Sonic game will look like. Of course, we will not ignore the high-speed action that distinguishes previous modern Sonic games like Sonic Generations or Sonic Forces, but rather create a topic that our current game fans and new players will enjoy.
