In conversation with the American press On the edge Zuckerberg explained that in his view, users should “create the Internet” so that one not only sees the content, but “is in it”. People are “not just in small, glowing rectangles,” the Facebook boss said.
Zuckerberg: Glowing rectangles are not big
In the end, people do not communicate in this way. Zuckerberg notes that in everyday life people rely heavily on their smartphones. In most of the meetings you hold today, you see the grid of faces. It also states that this is not the right way to process things.
In Zuckerberg’s “Metaversum”, a corporate group of people will almost certainly participate in the future, which will be broadcast in 3D after previously being connected via smartphone. As you are elsewhere in the world you are able to experience things differently than one in a 2D environment, for example dancing or doing different types of fitness exercises you feel more on site.
Facebook operates in an “infinite office” in which users can create their optimal workspace in virtual reality. According to Zuckerberg, people should have a kind of hologram next to their speaker when they sit on the couch. Hundreds of miles or so of states will make you feel like you are in one place instead of being far away.
Facebook’s metaversum has to be accessed for a long time through various interfaces, for example via virtual or zoomed reality, PC, mobile devices and game consoles. Until the whole thing is very attractive, the final devices have to be replaced, i.e., above all, they have to become less bulky. The idea for Multiversus goes back to the 1992 book “Snow Crash” by Neil Stephenson, which acts as the VR-based successor to the Internet.
If so, Facebook should be at the center of the multiverses that users will be moving to in the future.
