Nintendo Life chooses eShop – September 2020 – Feature

The number of stunning Indies releases on the switch is not showing signs of slowing down, and has been a truly amazing pleasure to explore over the past month.

The awards are aimed at celebrating Nintendo’s best digital store, giving some love and attention to easily lost games in Switch’s ever-growing library.

So, let’s get started. Here are the best switch ishop games of September 2020!

Honorable Mention:

Although these titles topped our top three this month, they are still definitely worth checking out.

Rebel Galaxy la Tila (Switch Ishop)Rebel Galaxy la Tila (Switch Ishop)

Publisher: Double Damage Games / Developer: Double Damage Games

Release Date: 22 September 2020 (USA) / 22 September 2020 (UK / EU)

Ranked third this month Rebel Galaxy Oatley, An exciting space-sim action game filled with exciting fighting, side missions and cracking soundtrack. In our review, we said that “Rebel Galaxy la Tila is a wonderfully well-perceived and stylish slice of space-sim action set in a satisfactorily seeded galaxy full of incredible scum and illegal activity” – do you really need to hear anything more?

The story may not be so much to shout about at home, but the dogfighting action, minigames and robust upgrade system make it fun to play through.

Ori and the Will of the Whips (Switch Ishop)Ori and the Will of the Whips (Switch Ishop)

Publisher: iam8bit / Developer: Moon Studios

Release Date: 17 September 2020 (USA) / 17 September 2020 (UK / EU)

In second place we had awesome Ori and the Will of the Whips, The title shows its predecessor in almost all ways.

It was amazing to hear that the game was coming to Switch and even more surprising when we found out that it runs at 60 frames per second on Nintendo’s portable machine. This action-adventure platform adds more customization options, focusing more on combat. And a better-developed story than the original, leading to our review describing the game as “a must buy for anyone with a little interest”. Play it – you will not be disappointed.

However, in the first place this month, Switch Indie is the game that took the scene by storm: Hades.

For the second month in a row, we found that Eshop was awarding the title with a rare 10/10 score. From the same team that gave us likes Tower, Transistor And Pier, Hades is an amazing rogulite journey through the Nether World, which is worth your time. Here is a snippet of what we have to say:

“Hades is a fantastic mix of sandy and simple combat, with amazingly lively art style and a really fun and engaging storyline. The Underworld is here. “

Addictive fighting, excellent narration and excellent art style. Must play.

How we determine the first three options of our eShop: As we approach the end of each month, the Nintendo Life staff editorial team will vote on their favorite titles from a list of selected games. To qualify for this list, these games must be primarily released as the Digital Nintendo Switch Ishop title in a specific month and reviewed on the Nintendo Life; We select qualifying games based on their review scores.

Staff are asked to vote for the three games they deem fit to sit at the top of that list; 3 points for the first option, 2 points for the second option and 1 point for the third option. These votes are tied to make up the first three lists, and the overall winner takes the top prize that month.
