Updates and enhancements only make Microsoft Edge more secure and reliable: In the new version, security vulnerabilities CVE-2021-4052, CVE-2021-4054, CVE-2021-4055, CVE-2021-405, 2021-4057, CVE-2021-4058, CVE-2021-4059, CVE-2021-4061, CVE-2021-4062, CVE-2021-4063, CVE-4063, C216 -4065, CVE-2021-4066, CVE- 2021-4067 and CVE-2021-4068 closed on the edge. Microsoft Edge for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2
Microsoft Edge will continue to be supported on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 until January 15, 2022. These operating systems are no longer supported, and Microsoft recommends switching to a supported operating system, such as Windows 10. While Edge may help improve security on the Internet, PCs may still be exposed to security risks. To support IE mode under these operating systems, devices must be Extended security updates for Windows 7 Feature.
