Microsoft Edge 88 for Windows and MacOS now distributed – it-blogger.net

Microsoft released version 88 of the Microsoft Edge for Windows and MacOS yesterday evening. With this update, support for Microsoft Edge’s old FTP protocol has been removed. Attempting to go to an FTP connection prompts the operating system to open an external application to process the browser FTP connection. Alternatively, Microsoft Edge ID administrators can configure sites to use IE mode based on the FTP protocol. Support for Adobe Flash will also be removed. There is also a kiosk mode option to complete the session. This feature ensures that browsing data is erased when Microsoft Edge closes. Users can now view PDF documents in a one-page or two-page book view. Update also brings Password Generator: Microsoft Edge provides integrated generator for secure passwords that can be used when registering a new account or changing an existing password. The new version also includes the latest security updates for the Chromium program. Update for version 88.0.705.50 is based on version 88.0.4324.96 of Chromium and can now be downloaded through the menu using the update function with three items -> Help and Feedback -> Information about Microsoft Edge and options directly from the official website. Depending on the standard channel, updates are released gradually in one or more days. Users who have installed an older version of the Edge will receive an update automatically. If you do not want to wait too long, you can start the update manually: Open Edge and click on the three dot button in the upper right corner of the window -> Help and Feedback and then about Microsoft Edge -> When this dialog box opens, Edge searches for updates -> a If you get the update, click Restart to activate it.
