How To Download Music On Spotify – Desktop
- If you have not already, subscribe to Spotify Premium. You will need a Spotify Premium account to download music to listen offline. Spotify Premium costs 99 9.99 per month for individuals or 99 14.99 / month for family planning.
- Find the playlist you want to download and click the ‘Download’ button on the top right. All the songs in that playlist will start downloading on your PC or Mac.
- When the songs are downloaded, you will see a green icon next to them.
You can not download individual songs by yourself, but you can download all your ‘favorite songs’ in one big playlist. Spotify encourages you to organize the songs you want to listen to in the playlists for download, rather than individual songs.
How To Download Music On Spotify – Mobile
Launch the Spotify app on your iPhone or Android device and sign in.
Tap ‘In your library’ in the lower right corner of the screen.
Find the playlist you want to download in the ‘Your Library’ tab.
Tap it to open the playlist, then change ‘Download’ to green. The playlist will start downloading to your device immediately.
How to set up Spotify in offline mode
You can switch Spotify to offline mode to enjoy music on your device. Click the ‘Settings’ wheel in the upper right corner of the home screen.
From there, you will find all the Spotify application options available to you, including ‘Playback’. Under playback, set the offline to green to enjoy your music in offline mode only.
