How to download colored voter ID card

Voter ID card is an important document issued to every Indian citizen above the age of 18 by the Election Commission of India. Traditionally known as the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC), this card came in black and white, making it difficult to identify personal details and personal photos. To solve this problem, ECI offers people an option to get a redesigned color EPIC.

As with the older version, the color voter card will have a photo, name, address, date of birth, a hologram sticker, a unique serial number and the issuer’s stamped signature. A voter card is not only useful for voting in an election, but also serves as proof of identity or age and address.

Colorful voter ID cards will be issued to first-time voters and existing voters. Individuals who need to correct errors in old voter cards can also apply for a Color Voter ID card. Anyone who wants to change their old black and white voter cards can do so online or offline. Individuals have to pay a fee of Rs. 30 to get a new Color Voter ID card.
