With the advent of Windows 11 released by Microsoft on June 24, 2021, Redmond has developed a special tool that helps users determine if their computer is compatible with: PC Health Check (Windows 11 compatibility tool). Although the final version of Windows 11 is not expected until the fall of 2021, I must say that you can sleep and test your computer already, for the most daring users, will soon be able to take part in the tests of the version. Beta of the new operating system.
Why check the compatibility of your computer? This is because the minimum configuration of Windows 11 is not the same as that of Windows 10. The new system requires at least a 1 GHz processor with at least 2 cores, all in 64 bits. You will need 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, secure UEFI firmware, DPM module, compatible graphics card with minimal DirectX12, HD screen (720p) and a diagonal greater than 9. You will also need a Microsoft account (its creation is 100% free and provides access Office Online)
Experienced users and developers of their own computers will know what is inside, so you can see if it is compatible with this list. But for most users the configuration of a computer is completely incomprehensible and no one knows what they have. To help users determine if their PC is compatible, Microsoft has developed the PC Health Check.
You can download PC Health Check on your computer that already has the Windows operating system. Once the installation is complete, you are in control of your computer’s Mini Control Center: the connection to your Microsoft and OneDrive account, the management of your storage, and the version of Windows installed.
On top of that, just click a button to find out if your PC is compatible with Microsoft’s new operating system. The message that appears tells you whether you are compliant or not, and if not, which component is responsible, but without further ado.
