The next global update to Microsoft Air Simulator VI is to bring advanced footage to Central Europe. In addition to the revised airports in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, more detailed views are planned. In a question-and-answer video, George Newman, project manager at Assobo Developer Studio, already showed the first images from the upcoming update.
The so-called “points of interest” include modern buildings such as the Toys Eck near Cobblens, the Giant Ferris Wheel in Vienna and the Chapel Bridge in Lucerne, but the Alliance Arena in Munich or the Elphilmoni in Hamburg. It is also planned to develop Vienna by photo frame.
So far, 19 German cities have already been designed in flight simulator using photo simulator, so they are very realistic. The rest of the landscape was created using AI algorithms from satellite imagery and information from OpenStreetMap, Microsoft’s own mapping service. However, as for buildings, these are often misleading, as playgrounds suddenly sprout up in single-family homes like toilet bowls or as a tall building.
Bonus flight “Donte Zoo”
The global update will appear on August 26th, and in addition to the revised cities and landscapes, Junkers is also bringing the new aircraft with the Ju-52. The flight simulator is available in three versions 65 euros (standard), 80 Euro (Deluxe) And 110 Euro (Premium-Deluxe)Each has more flights and neatly reproduced airports. In addition to online sales versions via the Windows Store and Steam, standard and premium versions are also available Disc-version Mid 10 DVDs, Aerosoft sells. A standard version of the airplane simulator is included in the Xbox Game Pass for PC. On July 27th, the flight simulator for the Microsoft Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S game consoles (test) will be released.
