If you have joined the Windows 11 Insider program, you can download the latest update now. The first, released on the beta channel, was about new features integrated into the next version of Windows 11; The other, released on the Dev Channel, is for the 2023 consumer update. So, what’s on the agenda?
Built-in 22621 for Windows 11, beta channel
Microsoft is currently tweaking the next Windows 11 update, which will be released to the public in the second half of the year. To do this, the company continues to release new patch updates for insiders in the beta channel, and it will remain so until the RTM release is finalized.
Built on the beta channel last week brought only 22616 fixes. This also applies to built-in 22621 built-in last night: explorer.exe performance improvements, taskbar or widgets panel bug fixes, if you are part of a beta channel these are just some of the improvements you can see in this update. .
Built-in 25115 for Windows 11, Dev Channel
The first creation is available that marks the beginning of the development of features found in Windows 11 in 2023. Before the news arrives, I use this opportunity to remind you that it is time to switch to the beta channel if you want more consistency. In fact, once this new creation is installed you can no longer switch to the beta channel.
Build 25115 is available on the Dev channel and brings the “Recommended Actions” feature. Objective: To speed up daily tasks in Windows 11 with recommended actions. For example, when copying a date, time, or phone number, Windows prompts you to create calendar events or make phone calls through your favorite apps.
- When copying a phone number, Windows will display a UI that is not available online, suggesting ways to call the phone number using teams or other installed apps that offer one-on-one calling features. Click.
- When copying a date and / or time, Windows will display a UI that is not available online, suggesting that you create the event using the supported calendar applications. When the user selects a preference, the application will start with a page that creates a calendar event associated with the date and / or time.
Built-in 25115 brings a series of fixes to the system tray, file explorer, task manager and settings. It also contains a list of known bugs that you may find on the Insider blog.
