Two major French illegal download sites, Zone Telechargement and Tirexo, have announced they will close permanently without explanation. Those who like movies, series, software and other free content should find other services to get their products …
A severe blow to those who want to download illegally: Two days apart, two popular French sites, Tirexo and Zone Telechargement, closed their doors. And of course! Instead of the traditional list of content on the Zone Telechargement (Zone-Téléchargement or ZT for short) homepage, you can read a message from the newsletter administrators. Without precisely explaining the reason for this sudden decision, without leaving the slightest hope of returning to normal. “It is in these few lines that we announce the closure of the ZT site. Yes, this is the end, no joke, not everything is eternal. […] The database will be completely erased and the CMS will not be distributed, there will be no recovery or tracking “Let us read in this amazing announcement on Monday 25th April 2022. Two days ago, on Saturday, April 23, Tirexo officials released a similar message: “The Direxo adventure ends there. Thanks for all that. Don’t take away anything we’ve done so far for us and for you. Boy.” Unlike Zone Telechargement, the Tirexo listing is still accessible, but there is no download or streaming link in the files.
As you can imagine, these sudden and almost simultaneous decisions have the effect of bombarding the small world of “free” downloads and illegal streaming fans, without hosting the small file of the two “services” provided by these popular sites, of all kinds (movies, series, TV Shows, music, software, games, magazines, books, etc.) provided all the links to retrieve the content. Very simple and without any real risk, unlike most monitored torrents, especially thanks to the live download technique. While no further “official” explanation has been given, it is easy to imagine that they would result in legal action being taken against the administrators of these sites.Arcom (New authority on success in both CSA and Hatobi) has been conducting a vicious and highly effective hunt since the beginning of this year against all sites involved in the theft of protected content (see our article).
Is this the end of “pirate” sites? Not sure. This is because in the midst of illegal downloading and streaming, specialized sites have a habit of constantly changing their URL (address on the web) to send under radar. And the most popular are often followed by “Pirates of the Pirates” who want to impress the audience by capturing the bad name. Not to mention that “good addresses” are easily shared on blogs and social networks (see our article). In addition, if Tirexo and Zone Telechargement are “down”, other sites are still active, such as Extreme Download, Wawacity, Annuaire-Telechargement, LibertyVF, Cpasmal or Zone Annuaire. However, it is not certain that everyone will survive if Arcom and users maintain their pressure. The hunt for plagiarism continues: retrieving copyrighted content without paying anything should be even more difficult
