Co-op Shooter Rainbow Six Extraction does not exactly require powerful hardware. Only required for an RTX 3080 UHD, including intermediate or entry level hardware. No more demands were placed on other components.

According to Ubisoft, the entry-level system should only have the Haswell generation Core i5 or Raison 3 1200. Both have only four computing cores, which are no longer particularly powerful. It requires a Radeon RX 560 or a GeForce GTX 960, Nvidia’s intermediate GPU since 2015, and four gigabytes of graphics memory. Eight gigabytes of RAM will again be a minimum for the Rainbow Six in 2021, but basically already built into every great office computer.

For all other configurations, developers are doubling the amount of working memory. A core i7 from the Haswell generation, or the Raison 5 1600 and GeForce GTX 1660 or Radeon RX 580, (front) mid-range GPUs, Ubisoft summarizes in the second configuration. Like the first game, it aims to play the game at 1080p, but it is referred to as “high”. It is not clear from Ubisoft’s information whether this means comprehensive systems or frame rates.

The required CPU performance for 1440p rarely increases. The A Ryzen 5 2600X is slightly faster than the previous Ryzen 5 1600, and applies to Intel’s Core i5-8400, which is slightly faster than the standard average i7-4790. Graphics performance alone makes the big leap: the Radeon RX5600XD and GeForce RTX2060 are currently in the mid-range league. The need for processors with eight computing cores for playback at 2160p again seems unbelievable. On the other hand, the increasing requirements on the GPU make sense: the Radeon RX 6800XT and RTX 3080 are currently the best performers.

Other features of the game include multi-monitor support, Vulcan API and Nvidia’s DLSS and Reflex. Play from January 20, 2022 with the purchase or as part of Ubisoft + or Microsoft Game Pass.
