How To Create Free Customized Ringtone From Audio File

If you want to use existing music as a ringtone for your iPhone, you will quickly see that iOS does not make it easy for you. Therefore, unlike Android, the ringtone folder cannot be accessed directly by connecting the smartphone to the computer. However this functionality is achievable with a few manipulations. Here’s how to do this with the apps installed on the iPhone.

1 – Download your audio file

Upload your audio file (WAV, MP3, AIFF or AAC) with a service like WeTransfer or Smash. You can also save it in the Files app from iCloud on your computer. Then launch Safari and download the file.
Then touch the selection Options, Then Save to files. Select Downloads Touch the list and button Registration Top right.

2 – Import the file into the garage band

Garage Band is a music composing and audio editing application that is commonly found on your iPhone. Otherwise, you can download it for free.
Launch it and tap the button “+” In the upper right to start the new project. Select Audio recorder Scroll through the screens with your finger and then touch the icon Voice.

Turn off the metronome (to the right of the red circle), then tap the third icon above from the left.

In the next window, tap the curls icon (second to last) at the top.

Select Files At the top of the screen, then tap Down Browse items from the Files app.

Go to the folder Downloads Tap your audio file. This will automatically be added to the garage band files.

3 – Adjust the file to your liking

Touch and hold the audio file to drag it to the display Tracks. You can adjust the start and end of the path by using the handles on either side. If too long, only the first 30 seconds will be recorded on the ringtone.

If you touch the track, you can access additional functions, for example Organizing Parts. Tap the play icon (white triangle next to the red circle) at the top of the screen to hear the results of your changes.

4 – Turn your audio track into a ringtone

Tap the triangular icon in the upper left My songs.

Touch your new song and then touch To share In the list that appears.

Touch Alarm On the screen that appears.

Name and ring your ringtone Exporter Top right. Then touch Use sound like … Then select Fixed ringtone.

5 – Manage your ringtones

If you want to change the ringtone, go to your iPhone settings and select Sounds and vibrations And Alarm.

You can choose a customized ringtone or go to one of the many ringtones provided by Apple. If you want to delete one of the ringtones you have created, swipe horizontally to the left.
