As its name implies, the BC1C 2K + is equipped with a 4 Mpx sensor, which allows you to shoot up to 2K. However the resolution can be reduced to 1920 x 1080 px or 1280 x 720 px. Ezviz also offers optics with an angle of 116 ° (diagonal), two infrared LEDs for the night, but two projectors for the night – night vision changes color in black and white first and second. . Finally, keep in mind that Ezviz offers high level and another low color saturation adjustment.

    During the day

As is often the case with Ezviz, the quality of the image under our light, which simulates daylight, is satisfactory. The level of detail is sufficient to distinguish the features of a face and the textures are not fully smoothed, as can be seen in other models like this. Google Nest Game (Battery).

However, we did not see any real gain compared to our experimental scenario carried out under the same conditions. BC.1, Despite the 2 Mpx sensor, remains our mainstay for cameras that run on external batteries. The perimeter of the image is not sharp and the new 4 Mpx sensor used by Ezviz manages the brightness less, thus losing details in the bright areas of our test scene. Outside, the walls of the buildings around our courtyard are partially burned. An HDR mode is welcome.

    At night

BC1C 2K + blows hot and cold after dark. Infrared vision is very frustrating. The sharpness issue mentioned in our daylight shot is pronounced and extended to the center of the image. Some details of our scene, especially the faces, are hard to read. Here again, BC1 delivers great images, even though its sensor is only 2 Mpx. On the other hand, in both cases we notice that there are stronger lights in the center than in the perimeter, but we also notice a steady administration of dark and light areas.

In contrast, color night vision obtained using projectors gives very good results. The picture is sharp and detailed, with slightly more than daylight in bright areas. Avoiding problems with camera over-exposure, on the other hand, can make blacks seem restrained, especially in projectors with low luminosity.

    Color night vision

Even with this minor drawback, as our authentication test confirms, it is best to enable BC1C 2K +’s color night vision for night tracking. We were able to identify someone at a distance of 4m by relying on images taken by projectors against 3m with infrared vision. The range of motion detection does not change regardless of the mode used. We measured it about 8m … for lateral movements. On the other hand, by walking straight on the camera and waving our hands in all directions, we were able to access within 4 meters of the camera.

Finally, it should be noted that the first seconds of the trigger event are not recorded. Since the video does not play continuously to save battery power, it will only be activated when the PIR sensor detects motion. The camera should then turn on night vision and lose 2 to 3 seconds.
