Amazon is releasing an update to the Alexa Home Theater functionality, which makes it possible to play external audio sources such as game consoles via Echo Smart Speakers. Until now, smart speakers could only be played on a Fire TV device and only its audio signals could be re-enabled. The release of the update should be completed within the next few weeks.

According to Amazon, the latest model in the series, which includes the Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K, offers more performance than the specified streaming sticks.
