    Study time: 1 minute.

Jailed adversary Alexei Navalny on Thursday, September 23, accused Apple and Google of colluding with the Kremlin. At the request of Russian officials, the two digital companies have removed the protest petition dedicated to the legislative elections.

“If anything surprised me during the election, it was Putin who was reversing the results, but how did the almighty Big Tech become his ally with obedience?” He launched the Russian adversary in a message posted by his team on Instagram. “On the big screens they tell us they want to ‘make the world a better place,’ but inside they are liars and hypocrites.”He apparently targeted Google, Apple and Telegram.

Under pressure from Moscow, Google and Apple on Friday agreed to remove Alexei Navalny’s team’s application from their stores in Russia. The latter made it possible to obtain electoral mechanisms to vote against Kremlin candidates, especially during the legislative elections scheduled for September 17-19. The Russian opposition condemned the massive fraud during these legislative elections, which the ruling party won by a two-thirds majority, which led to the ouster of Vladimir Putin’s opponents as a result of a tailor’s election.
