Some leaks have already set the tone for the new Surface Pro’s properties. Thus, to stay up to date, it will send a 13-inch screen with 2K definition and, above all, a 120 Hz refresh rate. The frequency allows the tablet to be compatible with the dynamic update rate technology announced in Windows 11, which allows it to deliver more fluid while saving battery.

The Surface Pro 8 is powered by the 11th generation Intel Core processor. The exact model is not known, but this change in the Tiger Lake platform will allow for the advantage of Thunderbolt ports, two of them. So Microsoft will not wait for Intel’s 12th generation mobile Alderlock processors, which will be delivered at CES in January 2022.

Finally, unexpectedly, the SSD is removable, thus providing the opportunity to eventually add more storage.

According to information obtained by On the edge, The Microsoft event on September 22nd will be an opportunity to introduce this new Surface Pro 8, but also a Surface Co3, Surface Book 4 and Surface Pro X.
