Crash Drive 3 is not usually a classic racing game, but an open world car game. In one of the five cards you compete with random online opponents in spontaneous quick-time events. There are approximately 10 different events that can occur, not only for races but also for fights. Special events such as “Mark objects by stunt” or “Collect more coins” provide the required types. All vehicles drive independently of each other and collect points until the end of the countdown. Once the time is up, billing takes place and different virtual amounts are paid depending on the placement. The next event starts a minute later. It offers a certain genre in terms of the game, but after a few hours of play I had shortness of breath because the events were repeated. Still, I had some good and fun times playing with the game. This is not a game to be played for a long time, I did it for testing purposes. However, if you are lucky and have many vehicles in your lobby, this will create extra competition and increase the fun of the game. Unfortunately, this is not always the case at all times of the day. The game can also be played offline, but it’s not as much fun as other drivers.
With the money you earn, you can open new vehicles, antennas, license plates or another color of Boost Flame. But above all, it is worth investing in four unlocked cards, however, not only will it require money, but also take further action in the form of coping with a given task. However, since other players are not so interested, most of them accumulate in the first two or three cards that can be opened. There are no opposing players on the cards that can be opened frequently. It would have been nice to have all the cards from the beginning.

Basically, I do not like cards so much in this game. Often these are unthinkable, and often you get stuck on poorly placed edges, especially when the first map is confused by Arctic covered ice. I would have chosen another card as an entry card because the Arctic is one of the most confusing places. In addition, it is very difficult to get into control because the confusing map causes initial disappointments as well. The steering wheel is unusually straightforward and requires a lot of practice to master it. However, after a few minutes, I was in a good mood with the restraints, especially thanks to the direct control of the fights in the air, although losing a little reality. Since this is an arcade racer, this is very forgivable.
Graphically, the game is a feast for the eyes. The resolution is unclear and the structures are washed out. The Nintendo Switch PC version has a good downgrade, although the Steam version may not shine as well. It certainly would have been more, because the graphics of the Steam version might run with some optimization work on the Nintendo Switch. After all, the game’s performance is consistent, there are no drops in frame rate and the online performance is better than most Nintendo games despite the cross-platform functionality.
